Homeschool Curriculum 2012-2013

It’s that time of year again, well sort of. Back to school. I’ve already shared that we homeschool year round. I’ve also shown you what I’ve been up to this summer with our school room makeover.
Now it’s time to let you in on our curriculum choices.

For The Dude: Preschool letter of the week activities via confessions of a homeschooler. Bible : we read it together with the kids adventure bible and do activities suggested inside. Hands on play and learning. I also will be doing file folder games with him and busy bags.

Princess and the Magic Bean: We have chosen Heart of Dakotas Bigger Hearts for His Glory for this year. I think it’s well rounded and will cover all basic subjects. We will also be doing unit studies and lapbooks that fit into whatever they want to learn about.

Wild Bill: Also Heart of Dakota but Preparing Hearts for His Glory. And unit and lapbook studies.

Dexter: Life Pac Science. No-Nonsense Algebra. Heart of Dakota Resurrection to reformation with extensions. Also unit studies. Typing tutor. Homemaking skills.

We try to be pretty flexible and do a TON of life learning as well. Heart of Dakota seems like the best fit for me as the teacher and them as the students. We take trips with our homeschool group throughout the year as well. All the girls are involved in girl scouts as well as the children’s program at church. This year we’ll eventually be adding in piano lessons and art lessons as we see fit.

I hope you got at least a small glimpse into our homeschool. I’m so glad to be able to share it on the IHOMESCHOOL blog hop:)

Blessings,
Tiffany

  1. Stopping by from the “Not” Back to School Blog Hop … we used “Little Hearts for His Glory” when my kids were younger. It was such a sweet curriculum!

Wishing you a wonderful school year!

  2. We love file folder games over here! Can’t wait to see what else you do this year! We also have younger kids (PreK and K). Found you through the Not Back to School Blog Hop. 🙂

  3. Last year I used the LOTW with my preschooler. Great curriculum. I’ve looked at the Little Hearts several times but never purchased it. Girl Scouts is a GREAT addition to homeschooling!!
